Rose Walker is quite a few things, most notably the grand-neice of six of the seven Endless, old universe-controling entities born at the cusp of time. How is she grand-neice to only six, you ask? Because one of them's her grandfather, durr.

See, Desire is her grandfather, it (for Desire is kinda lacking in the set gender department, its only a grandfather in relation to the lack-of-giving birth bit) raped her grandmother, Unity Kinkaid, while she suffered a bout of 'sleepy sickness'. Though this information is neither here nor there, and can be further ascertained in the wikipedia pages I've oh-so-graciously linked you to ♥

Know simply this: Rose was a dream vortex, and dream vortexes must be killed by Dream (Desire's older brother) out of nessecity. This was avoided, Rose's life saved and the situation (more-less) explained to Rose, opening up a wealth of knowledge about life and the world at large to her. But, being the mortal she it, the girl doesn't believe it, and forced it from her mind as an odd dream.

Rose is not afforded any special powers from her lineage or past vortexyness, nor does she have any above average knowledge of the universe (she would, if she could get over that Egyptian river...). She doesn't stand out in any special way, nor does she turn heads. Because of the vortex incident, wherein she gave her 'heart' (it was green~) to her grandmother, she ages a bit slower than normal. She's twenty-six, she looks about nineteen-ish.

Rose hails from the year 1996, she's also two weeks pregnant with a the child of Jack Holdaway. She didn't love Jack (she protests) but she did like him. Really like him. Jack promptly cut relations with her after she found out he had been seeing someone else while they had become involved, and later on Rose found out she was pregnant with his kid. She has decided to keep the baby. Her due date is some time in late December 2007. (By [info]polychromatic calendar, of course)

Rose, likewise, is a writer, and often dyes her hair odd colors.
